STRN steering group – call for (self)-nominations for SG positions

Dear network members,

please see the following call for (self)nominations for a position in the Sustainable Transitions Research Network (STRN) steering group.

If you are considering to participate in this election and would like to engage with PhDs in Transitions, don’t hesitate to contact us on As always, we are enthusiastic about exploring avenues to further the support to PhDs and Early Career Researchers, and to make STRN  more inclusive and diverse.

(Call forwarded from STRN mailing list)

The STRN steering group (SG) is looking for 4 new members to support the development of the network.

SG members provide advice to the Board and can also take on specific tasks, e.g. organizing workshops, leading thematic or working groups, or maintaining exchanges with other research communities.

This is a call for (self-)nomination of candidates for election as SG members in the upcoming period from Summer 2017 to 2019. For this term there are four open positions. Every STRN scholar is eligible to apply, including early career researchers or former/current SG members.

Election will be based on a mix of criteria, including experience and knowledge of the field, reputation and diversity (e.g. in terms of research approaches and topics, gender, nationality, career stage).

We ask each candidate to provide a brief (up to 1 page) profile to present her-/himself including background, research interests, career stage, list of relevant publications (if available) and – perhaps – visions for the field. Please send your application to no later than May 31st.

New SG members will be elected by the current SG in June and the outcome will be publicly announced at IST-2017 in Gothenburg.
